Dua Lipa has criticized a group that paid for a full-page ad in a prestigious newspaper accusing her of being antisemitic because of her sympathy for Palestinians.
Dua Lipa is slamming an organization that paid for a full-page ad in The New York Times accusing her of being antisemitic for supporting Palestinians, claiming it used her name "shamelessly" to "promote their vile campaign with falsehoods and gross misrepresentations." Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the head of the World Values Network, listed Lipa and the models Bella and Gigi Hadid as three "mega-influencers" who had "accused Israel of ethnic cleansing" and "vilified the Jewish State" in a meandering ad that appeared in the main part of Saturday's newspaper.
On Saturday afternoon, Lipa reacted to Twitter to "reject the false and disgusting claims," claiming that the World Values Network perverted what she stands for. “I reject all forms of racism and stand in solidarity with all oppressed people,” she added.
